Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers....

Position Summary:



Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and performing preventative maintenance. Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.




Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:


  • Responsible for transporting raw materials or finished goods from one location to another.
  • Abiding the kingdom’s traffic laws, standards and accident procedures.
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Ensure that the cargo or load is well protected by placing the applicable protective items such as belts, lashing chains, tarpaulin cover etc.
  • Inspect trucks and record any incidents and accidents to the dispatcher.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the truck.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance procedures for the truck and its attachments such as dumper, flatbed or lowbed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude to the customer.
  • Ensure that the required trips by the company are met within the stipulated time.

Other Responsibilities:



  • To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
  • To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
  • To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines, or equipment to concerned staff.
  • To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
  • To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
  • To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to the concerned responsible.
  • To attend safety training planned for them.
  • Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
