Procurement Specialist - Metal Industry

Position Overview

As a Procurement Specialist at ASSAF INDUSTRY COMPANY, you will play a pivotal role in managing our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, equipment, and services essential to our production process. Your expertise will ensure that our operations run smoothly and cost-effectively, contributing to our overall success.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of raw materials and services. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure the best possible pricing and quality.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce lead times.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and address any issues to ensure consistent supply and quality.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct market research and cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings. Implement procurement strategies that align with budgetary constraints and financial goals.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the production, engineering, and finance teams to understand and meet their procurement needs. Provide support in resolving any supply chain issues that may arise.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 04 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the metal or manufacturing industry.
