Lighting Project Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking a Lighting Project Engineer to join our company of dedicated lighting professionals. As part of our team, you will coordinate and implement the installation of lighting projects, ensuring both worksite safety and customer satisfaction. Following the scope of work for a given project, you schedule installations and maintenance, procure materials, and oversee labor and onsite finances. You should have several years of prior experience with electrical lightning, wiring, LED Lighting, and lighting control systems circuitry. This position may require some regional travel to different projects sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and design assistance for lighting control and LED lighting systems.
• Assist with budgeting, technical design, bidding, construction, and close-out for lighting projects.
• Review and do take-offs of architectural and electrical drawings and bid documents.
• Have thorough knowledge of current commercial products on the market and values.
• Create bill of materials and quotations for lighting fixtures and control systems.
• Coordinate installation of light fixtures and controls with the contractors.
• Generate and execute technical solutions for Lighting and lighting control installations.
• Lead team meetings (suppliers, designers, engineers, manufacturing, supplier quality, etc.)
• Work closely with Project Managers to prepare and develop mandates.
• Direct crews and installers to ensure workplace safety and efficiency.
• Communicate with clients throughout projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Travel to projects work sites and produce preparatory reports and work scope projections.

Requirements:

• Experience in installation and commissioning of lighting and lighting control equipment, performing tests and validation according to the standards and client requirements.
• Have prior experience with architectural/theatrical dimming & controls, computer networking, and LED fixtures.
• Experience in DMX/RDM, SACN, TCP/UDP, Dali, and other analog lighting control protocols and lighting control architecture.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and leadership skills.
• Associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Valid UAE Driving license.
• Ability to travel across countries when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Prior experience in lighting equipment installation, including the ability to provide supervision and support to the lighting technicians during the installation process. Prepare weekly reports on project progress and provide updates to the division leader. Preferred knowledge of lighting design software to assist in planning and executing lighting projects effectively.
