Telecommunications Infrastructure:
- Design, plan, and implement telecommunications networks to support railway communication needs.
- Deploy and maintain voice, data, and video communication systems.
- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication across the railway network.
Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) System:
- Oversee the implementation and operation of AFC systems, including ticketing, access control, and payment systems.
- Ensure the integration of AFC systems with other railway infrastructure components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AFC system issues to minimize service disruptions.
- Implement security measures to protect AFC systems from fraud and unauthorized access.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all telecom and AFC systems comply with international standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices to continuously improve systems.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of telecom and AFC system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to ensure the timely delivery of telecom and AFC components.
- Provide technical expertise and support during project planning and execution phases.
Training and Support:
- Train railway staff and stakeholders on the proper use and maintenance of telecom and AFC systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to resolve issues as they arise
- Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, AFC certifications) are desirable
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems for large infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry.
- 2-3 years of overall experience in railway
- Familiarity with AFC systems and their integration into transportation networks.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security measures, and telecommunications technologies.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for network management and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with international railway standards and regulations is a plus.
