Job Description:

The Senior Manager - Contract & Claims plays a vital role in assisting the Contracts and Commercial Director with the strategic management of all contractual and commercial facets of the project. This position is key in ensuring compliance with contracts, optimizing project efficiency, and safeguarding profitability. Responsibilities encompass supporting the development and implementation of contract management strategies, aiding in the negotiation of terms, and overseeing the contractors adherence to contractual obligations.

Additional focus for this role is on Claims management raised by any project’s party. This role is responsible for understanding the contractual grounds of claims and will advice the Client and the Project Director for either the resolution or the issuance of a claim. The Contract & Claims Senior Manager leads a team focused on contract administration, adeptly handling potential claims to align with the clients best interests.

This role requires a deep understanding of contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain strong stakeholder relationships. This role reports to the Contract/Commercial Director. The Contract & Claims Manager ensures that the project complies with legal and regulatory standards, leveraging best practices in contract management to uphold the projects commercial integrity.

What Required Skills Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Construction Management, or related field;
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in commercial contracts management, claims management, or related field, with a focus on construction projects and a minimum 5yrs experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally).
• Strong understanding of contract law principles, commercial contracts administration, and claims resolution practices, with experience in drafting, negotiating, and interpreting contracts and legal documents.
• Proven track record of successfully managing commercial contracts and resolving claims on large-scale construction projects, with particular emphasis on PMO/PMC large projects.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex contractual issues, assess risks, and develop creative solutions to mitigate risks and resolve disputes.
• Certification in contracts management
