Essential Responsibilities

• Horizontal and vertical balancing Gas turbine rotor components.
• Knowledge of balancing Machine Setup.
• Ability to perform static and Dynamic balancing.
• Ability to understand the balancing requirement from the Documents.
• Well versed with use of Microsoft Office Tools.
• Ability to perform mechanical Setup of the machine.
• Capable to operate Overhead Cranes.
• Ability to read the Mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of the tolerance requirement for balancing.
• Ability to understand & operate balancing machine software
• Work closely with Supervisors Engineer to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
• Will be required to perform efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Capable to use instrument for measurement check
• Follow 5S (Sort, stabilize, shine, standardize, sustain) Lean Principles, safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Working knowledge in the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of gas turbine rotor is required.
• Carries out independently tensioning/ tightening of the rotor parts by using hydraulic tools. like torque wrench, Tensioners H-pump with up to 25,000 PSI or more.
• Ability to use the measurement tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, depth, and dial gauge.
• Ability to use mechanical hand tooling and having knowledge of their functionality.
• Comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Align with the company Quality Policy and applicable rules and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret work Instruction and process prints/engineering drawings
• Ability to blend and grind rotor parts

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School,Technical Diploma or Technical College degree.
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a mechanical technician in gas turbines assembly or repair.

Desired Characteristics

• Crane Operator Certificate.
• Forklift Operator Certificate
• NDT level I or Level 2 Certificate
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software is preferred.
