Job Purpose Statement:

As the integral member of the SACC team, you will be responsible for assisting the leadership with all aspects of the site/assigned location to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and excellent financial performance through the management and development of the team with great operational standards. Assist in managing and coordinating the work of their teams by providing direction, coaching, and feedback. They may also be responsible for handling any issues that arise on their teams and reporting to team leader/supervisor for appropriate action.

Roles & Responsibility

  • Liaises with direct manager to ensure the support to the site and the team.
  • Ensure compliance of junior team members of SACC systems to ensure that processes are followed.
  • Assists in the training of junior team members in the SACC quality system ensures concepts are understood, followed and consistent service is delivered by means of toolbox talks and in post training.
  • Assist in the completion of employee evaluation or appraisals as per company procedure, to include improvement plans.
  • Conducting regular area reviews to ensure team member are meeting performance standards.
  • Create and encourage opportunity for employee promotions.
  • Complies with appropriate QHSE requirements.
  • Delivery of budgeted profit through management of food costs, labour costs and overhead costs
  • Manage client relationships through regular formal and informal interaction, dealing with and resolving issues quickly without compromising the expected profitability of the project.
  • Attract and retain experienced effective management team and workforce who are dedicated to the long-term completion of the project (minimize staff turnover)
  • Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are consistently maintained in accordance with the SACC Quality Assurance Program
  • Report any stores shortages or required products to team leader.
  • Responsible for all camp/site administration.
  • Assist the team leader to keep within budgets for labour, food, cleaning materials and utensils and all other miscellaneous cost.
  • Daily reporting to own/client maintenance on technical support for preventive maintenance.
  • Presents positive image of SACC with client and customer.
  • Implement quality monitoring systems which measure customer satisfaction, client and contract compliance.
  • Accompany the team leader in representing the company in regular on-site client meetings if requested.
  • Trains all site staff in the SACC quality system ensures concepts are understood, followed and consistent service is delivered.
  • Ensures staff are inducted in accordance with SACC policies.
  • Manages effective training and development of all team members identifying any gaps to direct line manager.
  • Leads and communicates effectively to maintain high motivation levels with staff or any other task as requested or instructed by your team leader.
  • Assist in employee grievances management.
  • Ensure the handling of daily material issuing is in line with unit budgets.
  • Ensure an efficient Daily Walk Through.

Responsibility for the work of others:

  • Guiding, supporting, monitoring, evaluation, and training of staff.
  • Organizing/planning continuity of work and provision of service.
  • Monitoring and maintaining levels of conduct and work performance.
  • Ensuring safety and good work practice.
  • Monitoring of staffing levels and deployment of staff.
  • Deliver training and coaching as required.
  • Ensure all direct reports undertake appropriate hygiene and safety related training.
  • Ensure all direct reports are trained and competent to the appropriate level.
  • Assist disciplinary investigations.
  • Assist the team leader in formal disciplinary/grievance interviews.

Decision making:

  • Participate in periodical inspections and contribute to the process of identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Take personal responsibility for closing identified development gaps and future requirements.
  • Personal competencies are known, understood, adhered to and updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure the personal working hygiene standards meet both the company and statutory requirements.
  • Actively participate and learn from all training to ensure your tasks are completed competently and professionally.
  • Participate fully as part of both the company and unit team, ensuring team objectives are met to enable the company to provide an excellent service.

Communication & Working Relationships:


Liaise with direct line manager and subordinates with effective communications to ensure smooth running of the unit. Strong effective communications demonstrating honesty and trust.


Manage and maintain client relationships through regular formal and informal interaction, dealing with and resolving issues quickly without compromising the expected profitability and standards of the unit.

Minimum Requirements for The Job:


Bachelor’s degree in engineering

4 years’ experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene, ISO and HACCP.
